The Mil-Grot & AR9 Kit

A universal remote controls system for AR-type handguards and pistol magazines is the AR9 Kit. The AR9 Kit was designed for the Universal Design of Mil-spec AR-15 pistol magazines and is intended for both left-hand and right-hand use. It is a modular design that makes it easy to add new components, such as pistol clips, aftermarket parts and pistol accessories that will compliment your current setup. Although it is universal, it is not compatible with mil-spec AR-15 pistol magazines. Instead, it is designed to work in accordance with the current Mil Spec magazine specification. This includes:

The AR9 Kit utilizes an innovative folding cam lever, which is located between the magazine well and the top rail on the upper receiver. This folding lever can be easily moved to either side of the upper receiver to engage or disengage the front sight block. Once engaged, it allows the user to quickly and smoothly transition from shooting in semi-automatic mode to fully automatic mode without engaging the rear sight. Once disengaged, it allows the user to operate the upper receiver like a regular mil Spec AR-15 pistol. The collapsible cam lever and the one-piece trigger are designed to work seamlessly with Mil-spec triggers and the Mil-Grot (stopping power) pins to ensure reliable operation of all Mil-Grot and AR9 pistols worldwide.

The AR9 upper receiver features a one-piece trigger and a top rail with integrated sights. The folding cam lever is located securely in the top rail and is easily accessible through the two rubber O-rings located on the upper receiver. The included buttstock and magazine tube are included along with an installation manual and replacement screws. Some models include an optional red dot sight, which is highly visible under bright sunlight.

The Mil-Grot and AR9 upper receiver tubes feature a modular design that utilizes two expandable steel tubes to carry the inserts, magazine, and the buttstock. These tubes are attached to the upper receiver using the included Pouch Adapter, which is designed to be removed after use. The accessory pockets located on the left and right sides of the tubes to allow for easy access to the desired accessory. There are also accessory pockets located on the top and back of the upper receiver, which are ideal for storing additional equipment.

The Mil-spec AR-15 pistol grip is designed to provide exceptional comfort and maximum wrist support while the buttstock is in use. Constructed out of lightweight polymer, the buttstock is designed to accept most standard pistol sights and has an Accusharp surface texture, which increases hand comfort and prevents slippage. There are three snap tension attachment points on the buttstock, and a modular "V" profile buttstock cover. An optional red dot sight is provided in the accessory pocket.

Complete with a pistol grip, pistol sight, magazine tube, and an optional red dot sight, the Mil-spec AR9 upper receiver kit is an affordable and extremely functional addition to any AR-15 collection. Made utilizing Mil-STD-versions of the AR-15 platform, these models are compatible with standard A1 and M16 series rifles and handguns. They can also be used with standard A3 and A4 pistols.
